A few words I want to share with fellow board members of the Birker\u00f8d Basketball Club. Hopefully I express this to you all personally some day too, but for what it is worth I share it in a letter here on my blog. <\/p>\n
To my fellow board members…I have a confession that I have secretly always wanted to be able to say that in all earnest and today I have the opportunity to do that and I have you to thank for it. Thank you! You have welcomed me into to the club and you have made me feel very welcome. I want you to know that I am very grateful for the opportunity to spend time with this special group of basketball lovers and to create and share basketball memories. Thank you!<\/p>\n
Being a “newbie” startup entrepreneur, an experienced coach, and a Dad have all taught me one common thing and that is there is always something new to learn. After all these years with kids and sports, and managers and meeting rooms, I think I know quite a lot and I think that I have learned quite a lot. In any case I do know one thing for certain and that is that I do not know it all! <\/p>\n
Not knowing it all is the second reason why I am writing this letter. As we round out the 2014 season and prepare for summer there is still so much to do and so much to look forward to, and so much we still do not know. We are getting ready to plan and we are coordinating stuff <\/i>and we are doing<\/i> stuff as I write and this is only the tip of the iceberg. I have plenty of ideas and wishes to try out and I am really thankful to be able to work with you, my fellow board members (just had to sneak that in one more time), to try to build this fun, positive, and healthy environment for young people to be in. You have given me a great opportunity and even though there is so much I do not know and so much I have to learn still, you have trusted me with this opportunity and again I thank you for that and want to assure you that I will do my best and my all to make next season another great success for us, for the kids, and for Birker\u00f8d Basketball.<\/p>\n
Most of all though, I just wanted to make it known already now that I really look forward to another fun season for Birker\u00f8d Basketball.<\/p>\n
